It is in THIS magical place that you integrate your human experience instead of escaping it. Buti® incorporates elements of shaking + vibration to help release stored trauma + stimulate cellular reorganization. Sweat with intention in BUTI!

Barre Flow

This one hour class includes a Vinyasa Flow warm up and cool down. Barre incorporates elements of dance, Pilates, yoga, and functional fitness training for a total body workout that will leave your muscles burning. We use small, isolated movements to strengthen and tone, large range of motion to elevate the heart rate, and sequencing that incorporates upper and lower body work.

Beyond the Chair

This class builds on the concepts & principles from Chair Yoga. In Chair Yoga, you are introduced to seated and standing postures on your chair that work on building balance, muscle, and grounding. Beyond the Chair takes it up a notch by practicing on the mat and minimizing the use of the chair. However, modifications are provided to students who wish to still use the chair throughout the whole class.

Chair Yoga 1

Chair Yoga makes yoga accessible to everyone. This class is for all levels and offers a practice that includes seated poses on the chair and standing poses using the chair for balance and support. Suitable for those working with injuries, inflexibility, movement disorders, balance problems, and all others looking for extra support in a yoga class. Chair Yoga allows the client to modify their yoga practice based on mobility, health, and current ability level.

This class does not use a mat.

Yoga For All

A yoga class for those newer to yoga or those wanting a basic yoga class for all. This class introduces foundational yoga postures, teaches you how to breathe and helps you feel more comfortable in the yoga practice. Although this class moves at a slower pace than the other vinyasa classes, expect to be challenged both mentally and physically.

Hatha Flow & Nidra

This class will begin with a Hatha style flow to increase your inner fire, and end with a guided Nidra relaxation. A perfect way to practice surrendering into complete bliss and bring your mind and body into a calm state to end the day.

There will be a predictable flow of movement and asanas (yoga postures) that builds on itself each week. Breathing exercises used for pranayama will increase the prana, or life force, in your energetic and physical body.

Finally, it will finish with a yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) which is a meditative technique that aims to keep practitioners fully awake and aware while at the same time, extremely close to the boundary of complete sleep. This class is suitable for all levels.

Slow Flow

In Slow Flow, the pace is slower than your power/flow class. The pace is meditative, emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind. You will be holding poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose, instead of moving to each breath. Slow Flow allows you to find the space between poses while still retaining the gentle rhythm of a power/flow class.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues - ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body - rather than the muscles (which are the physical focus of Yang yoga practices). As we practice yin, we learn to listen to our bodies, slowing everything down. We learn to recognize our thoughts, to see them coming in and out of our mind, and to experience and digest them, instead of having them race through our mind like an escaped rollercoaster. Yin is for everyone.

Tai Chi Fundamentals

Tai Chi Fundamentals (TCF) Adapted Program is a beginners level tai chi class. The Adapted Form is broken down into basic moves to promote good posture, balance, weight shifting, stepping, and turning - all essential skills for safely engaging in activities of daily life. We focus on mind/body skills to cultivate healthy qi or vital energy.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa means to “flow” and classes challenge you both aerobically and anaerobically by incorporating various strength and cardio sequences. Vinyasa Yoga is the perfect cross-training regimen for students seeking to build stamina, strength, or further enhance their current exercise routine. Our Vinyasa Flow is a form of physical fitness that builds strength, flexibility, balance, cardio and mental stamina all in one class. This class is not a beginner class, but is open to all levels.

Power Vinyasa Flow

A dynamic and vigorous yoga class that combines the fluid, continuous movement of Vinyasa yoga with a heightened focus on strength, intensity, and athleticism. Features rapid transitions between poses while maintaining breath connection. This is a fast-paced flow class designed to push your physical limits and helps to build muscle and endurance.

Qigong

Qigong is simply working with your body's own energy, and is one of the best ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Think of it as a moving meditation. Anyone- regardless of ability, age, or beliefs - can practice the techniques of Qigong.

Hatha

Hatha is translated as sun and moon. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation. Poses are held for longer periods, from 30 seconds up to 3 minutes to increase health and wellness benefits of the poses. This class may include chanting in the sound of “Om." and other mantras. "Om" represents unity with all things. This class goes into the deeper roots of yoga and is for all levels.

Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi

"Shibashi" means eighteen postures in Chinese. Based on the philosophy and principles of Tai Chi, it is in fact a ‘hybrid’ of Qigong postures, Qigong breathing and modified ‘Yang Style’ Tai Chi movements that have been choreographed into a smooth, continuously flowing sequence of 18 movements that are synchronized with deep, relaxed abdominal (Dan Tien) breathing. These movements are designed for maintaining all round good health and wellbeing, offering numerous health benefits that significantly slow the process of ageing. The movements are simple, gentle and flowing. This class will end with a meditation (you can bring a yoga mat if you choose to sit or lie down on the floor).

Mindful Move-itation

Mindful move-itation offers a gentle, serene studio setting with many options for your practice. Enjoy a guided meditation, or yoga nidra, with or without some gentle yoga movements at the beginning of practice, and then move into your best relaxation pose to finish the guided meditation and enjoy an extended shavasana (resting pose). This practice can be done on a mat or in a chair, depending on your personal preferences and abilities. Warm towels and essential oil scents will be offered at the end of class.
