In 2016, Monique and Madleen met at a small yoga studio in Madison, Wisconsin.
They practiced yoga together for three years, not knowing that one day they would become Bee Alive Yoga. When Rainbow Thrift Shop closed its doors, Monique had a vision of turning the space into a yoga studio. Much trial and error occurred before the dream became a reality.
Madleen offered to help with online advertising until, one day on vacation, she had a vision of becoming Monique’s studio manager. She immediately called Monique to share her vision. The call was received less than 24 hours after Monique found out the original manager had decided to decline the offer.
Some would say this was luck, but they both knew this was divine intervention. Together they built what you know today as Bee Alive Yoga studio, which opened its doors on March 15, 2020, becoming the first ever yoga studio in Portage, Wisconsin.
